Sydney Sweeney has recently marked special career milestone two months after American Eagle criticism.
The Euphoria actress receives major acting award for her performance in Christy at the Hamptons International Film Festival on October 4.
Sydney shared a glimpse of this award ceremony by posting a slideshow of photos and videos on Instagram.
In the pictures, the actress looked happy as she held her crystal award at the festival.
“Thank you @hamptonsfilm for the achievement in acting award for @christy.movie,” wrote the 28-year-old in the caption.
Following her post, Sydney received several messages from her fans, as one said, “Congratulations Syd! We’re all Rooting for you!”
“Congrats to our QUEEN @sydney_sweeney keep shining keep winning… this is your OSCAR,” mentioned another user.
A third one added, “You deserve only the best, and I’m so happy you’re getting it!! I’m crying so much right now.”
Her mother, Lisa Mudd Sweeney, also remarked, “Congrats! Beyond proud of you!”
Earlier, Sydney stirred heated debate over her ad campaign for American Eagle Jeans over the summer.
The campaign, which played on the phrase ‘good genes’ featuring a blonde, blue-eyed star, sparked comparisons to Nazi propaganda and was also accused of racism after it launched in July.
Meanwhile, Sydney is all set for her upcoming movie, Christy, which had its world premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival on September 5, 2025.
However, the movie is slated to release in theatres on November 7.
