Rosamund Pike opens up about a real-world nightmare

Rosamund Pike, the actress of Gone Girl, has opened up about when she was “punched in the face for her phone” during a mugging incident.

In an interview with The Sun newspaper, the 46-year-old American actress called to mind “15 minutes of hell” when someone punched her in the face to snatch her phone on a street in London in 2006.

Pike, who was cast in Gone Girl as Amy Dunne opposite Ben Affleck and was also included in the Bond film Die Another Day, was talking to her mother on the phone when a person on a bicycle attacked her and stole her phone.

She shared, “The phone was snatched so all she heard was me scream and a thud and the phone went dead.”

The Clash of The Titans star went on to add, “The phone was snatched so all she heard was me scream and a thud and the phone went dead.”

Notably, after the incident, Pike rushed to a pub and requested one of her friends to borrow her a phone to call her mother, as “it was probably a pretty horrible 15 minutes” for her mother.
